Okay, so this blogging thing is hard to keep up with, damn. So much for my once a week post idea, but I do have a bit of an excuse, after 4 long years I’ve moved my little design operation out of my home and into more proper digs. I’ve rented some office space in West LA – 3 mile commute – and it couldn’t be better. I’m sharing the space with an old friend from Emerson College who owns a PR firm called Big Time PR, Marketing and Branding – visit them on the web here (I built the site
). It’s really nice to be back in a more official office environment and I even enjoy the short commute. I always liked focusing on the day before me or decompressing from the one behind me on the way to and from work and I missed it a good deal when I didn’t have that. I also missed listening to new music back and forth from work- there’s just something about getting out of work on a summer night and cruising home with the windows down and the music up loud that allows me to connect with a new album more than any other method.
The big downside to the office thing is that I miss my old office mates, Magic and Paloma, my kitties. They were great partners in crime and Magic was a whiz at taking dictation. However, I don’t miss having cats sitting on my keyboard, or fighting in front of my monitor or embedding their little fine hairs in all of my equipment – every cloud has a silver lining as they say.
Well, that’s it for now. Below are some images of my new home-away-from-home. Next I’ll catch you up on my New Years resolution progress… Stay tuned…
Oh and a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my younger brother Chris!!!!!
